Quote Configuration

 

To access the quote configuration, click on the "View More" button located in the top right corner of the quote creation form.

Available Options:

 

Validity

The quote is automatically created with a standard validity date configured according to the values entered in Configuration > Default Values. However, from here, we can select a specific different date for this quote.

 

Date

This is the date of the quote creation. We can modify it here if necessary.

 

From

The selection list allows us to change the user who created the quote. This is useful if we want the follow-up to be handled by another user instead of ourselves.

 

Discount

This value is a percentage discount to be applied globally to the entire quote. It is separate from the discount entered per price item, which is specific to each product.

 

Currency

Here we can choose the currency for the quote from the currencies selected in Configuration > General Settings.

 

Show Values (Totals and Taxes)

This option modifies a configuration also available in Configuration > Default Values, which determines how taxes are displayed. Here, we can specifically modify how they will be shown for this particular quote.

There are several options for displaying sales tax (GST, VAT, etc.) in the quote total. A tax rate is defined for each price item, but the amounts entered in the price items can exclude or include taxes, which affects the quote total. You can choose how the tax should be calculated from the dropdown menu "Show Values," which appears in Quote Configuration when editing a quote or template.

Pricing Display

This option allows us to configure how prices are displayed in the items:

  • Item Quantity & Total: This is the default option and shows the quantity and total price per item.
  • Item Quantity: Displays only the quantity of the item.
  • Item Total: Displays only the total price of the item and not the unit price.
  • Hide All: Hides all data in each price item included in the quote.

 

Display Item Code

In the price items, above the description, there is a space where we can enter the product code. If we want this code to be visible to the client, we can activate this option.
